Getting Started

Get Started

Set up your workspace, import locations, and get to your first live Google review response.

What HeyThanks actually manages

HeyThanks gives you one shared workspace for all of your stores, while keeping billing and settings controlled at the location level.

  • One Google login can import multiple locations.
  • Every imported location gets its own record in HeyThanks.
  • Each location can stay free or run its own paid plan.
  • Review operations can still be managed from one workspace inbox.
  1. Sign in and open your workspace.
  2. Use Import from Google instead of manually creating locations.
  3. Let HeyThanks pull every location managed by that Google account.
  4. Open each location and confirm the Google profile mapping.
  5. Pull your website into Voice Settings so the AI has brand context.
  6. Generate or review your first replies before enabling full automation.

What to configure first

Google connection

The Google connection is the operational backbone. Until it is live, reviews cannot sync and replies cannot post.

Brand voice

The AI needs location-specific context, not generic copy. Use the website pull plus your own voice rules so responses sound like the business instead of like a template.

Billing

Billing starts only when you upgrade a location. You can import every store now and decide which ones get paid automation later.

What the first success looks like

You know setup is working when:

  • the location shows an active Google connection
  • last sync updates successfully
  • reviews appear in the inbox
  • a generated reply matches the location's brand voice

If any of those fail, go to the troubleshooting docs before reconnecting accounts blindly.
